THIS BOAT IS NOT A PROBLEM LAUNCHING AT NOB’S RAMP. I’M SURE WE CAN ACCOMMODATE YOUR RIG.

DID YOU PUT THE PLUG IN?”

Nob’s Ramp  is a private boat launching Ramp that is open to the public. It is a self service Ramp, but Nob, his sons or “Ramp friends” are usually available to help everyone. We welcome all recreational boaters, fishermen & fisherwomen, clammers, crabbers, duck hunters, kayakers, and all nice boaters.

Sorry, because of insurance regulations, personal watercraft ( Jet Skis Etc.) are NOT permitted to use the ramp.

Nob’s Ramp daily rate is $20. That covers putting in and taking out of a boat on the same day. If you put in a boat one day but pull it out another day the rate is $20. each way/day. Any use of the Ramp is a $20 minimum. Yearly passes are available for $200. (non commercial rate). Passes are issued for unlimited Ramp use from January 1st to December 31st. See Nob for details/discounts.

The Ramp is a 14ft. wide concrete ramp and has 10ft. of water at the ramp’s end at low tide. Boat launching or take out is rarely a problem. Obviously it is a lot easier to use the Ramp when it is NOT low tide and you use the proper tow vehicle. Powering up (driving your boat onto your trailer) is permitted.

The end of the Ramp is clearly marked. The Ramp’s concrete stops at the “END OF RAMP SIGN” at which point there is a 10ft. drop.

DO NOT ALLOW YOUR TRAILER WHEELS TO GO PAST THE END OF THE RAMP!!!!

YOU WILL DAMAGE YOUR TRAILER!!!! (and the concrete)

We can accommodate small boats, medium boats, and large boats (up to 35 foot). Pontoon boats, Kayaks, Paddle boards are all welcome.

To allow for easy boarding and to protect your boat, rubber lined floating docks continue the entire length of the starboard side of the ramp and extend 40ft out into the water. Fishing, crabbing or swimming off the docks is prohibited.

As per U.S. Coast Guard regulations, ALL children 12 years old or younger MUST wear a U.S.C.G. approved P.F.D. when on the floating docks.

Nob’s Ramp is the closest boat ramp to the Townsend Inlet. It’s less than a 7 minute boat ride from the Ramp to the Inlet.  At low tide there is never less than a 5ft depth at any point in the channel from the Ramp all the way to the Townsend Inlet Bridge.

We are open 24hours a day & 7 days a week. Please be as quiet as possible as we are located in a nice residential neighborhood. Our neighbors are great, friendly people. Please, let’s keep it that way.
